For state government funded institutions, the revised pay scales will require adoption by the respective state governments. The Centre, however, will bear the additional burden of the states on account of pay scale revision.

It is confirmed that the CG employees will get a pay hike beyond the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. The proposal to increase the salary will be passed by the National Anomaly Committee later this month. The increase in pay will not have any negative impact on the exchequer officials say. This would mean that the CG employees would have much to cheer after being let down badly by the 7th Pay Commission.
