BMC Elections 2017: Sena candidate entered polling station: NCP

Ex-Mayor and Shiv Sena candidate from ward number 202 Shraddha Jadhav has been accused by an MNS candidate from the same ward of entering the Baradevi polling station in the ward. A video of Jadhav, in which she is seen climbing hurriedly down the stairs from the polling station along with some of her supporters, went viral on Wednesday.

Pranali Bamne, an MNS candidate from the same ward, called up the RAK Marg police station and complained about Jadhav’s alleged indiscretion. Uma Bhaskaran, an NCP candidate from the area, said that she was planning to lodge a formal complaint with the State Election Commission and also with the police station.

Bhagwat Bansod, Senior Inspector, RAK Marg Police Station, said they have received a complaint over the phone about the issue. “We have asked the complainant to lodge a written complaint, so that we can investigate and verify the allegation,” Bansod said.
