Nashik Municipal Election Results 2017 Live Updates: With 60 percent turnout was recorded in the Maharashtra city of Nashik, during the Municipal elections on Tuesday, it is all set for the results today. Around 821 candidates were in fray for the polls in  122 seats in Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC). Total 461 candidates had withdrawn  their nominations before the elections. The maximum 40 candidates were in fray from ward no.14, while in ward no.15 there were 17 candidates, NMC’s election branch, as per PTI report. In 2012, MNS had won most number of seats but this time around the party might see a tough contest from BJP as well as Shiv Sena.  In Nashik, the higher polling is likely to give the Shiv Sena an edge.

The city now boasts of a world-class botanical garden, a 100-foot water fountain that is a big draw and numerous beautified traffic islands. In the first phase polling held on February 16, overall 63.8 per cent voting was registered for 15 zilla parishads and 165 panchayat samitis. The zilla parishads that went to polls in the first phase included Jalgaon. Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Hingoli, Beed, Nanded, Osmanabad, Latur, Buldhana, Yavatmal, Wardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli.
